"We Resist Order"
Be Irish for the day! The Loyal Royal Secret Order of Hooligans will be having their 30th annual Hooligan Breakfast. The breakfast will be held at the Al Menah Shrine Center at 1354 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The tickets are $25.00 each (available from Hooligans or at the door)and this includes Poteen (Social Hour) at 10:00 a.m., Brunch at 11:30 a.m., and Observations at 11:45 a.m. In attendance will be past Tennessee Governors along with numerous elected city, state and county officials.
The prestigious "Shillelagh" (walking stick) award will be the highlight of the event. It is awarded to a person who exemplifies a business or political ruffian...a Hooligan by definition is a "young" ruffian. The origin of the term is obscure. Hoolies are ones who express annoyance or objection easily. All of the above fall into being their own. Most are extremely different from the ordinary person.
